October starts tomorrow! Although fall officially started a few days ago, I haven’t seen much change in the scenery here yet. I’m still so used to the Arizona weather patterns and I’m excited to get the full experience of fall.
With the start of October also starts the last stretch of the year. Not only is this a good month to get prepped for NaNoWriMo, it’s a good chance to see where you stand and start work on any final steps towards goals you set for the year.
As for September. Although I’d planned to get fully back into posting on my regular schedule I missed a couple of posts. Regardless, it feels good to get back into blogging.
I didn’t have much in the way of a September project. Ultimately I ended up bouncing around fiddling with several smaller projects. Going through my endless list of projects did however bring up the two I want to focus on in the next couple of months.
For October I’ll be focusing on a superhero story that’s already spawned several smaller stories. At this point, the idea is to do nothing but get the entire mess of a timeline into a rough shape and find somewhere to start on the actual stories.
As for NaNo Prep this year, I’ve decided my actual November project will be a paranormal mystery series I’ve fiddled with a few times over the year. As mystery isn’t typically a genre I write, I’m looking forward to the challenge—and gives me an excuse to head to the bookstore!
How was your September? What are your plans for October? Let me know in the comments below!
